Jourdan Fein

Jourdan FeinWhile I have not been at T.H.E.O.S. as long as some of the other teachers, I thank God everyday for being given the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful school. I have been given the gift of waking up every morning and loving what I do. I learned very quickly that I was not only a staff member at a school, but I was now a part of a family.

When I first began working here, I worked part time in the pre-school room. This was a much more meaningful experience than I ever would have imagined. I was able to see where it all begins. Our students, even at this young age, are given the opportunity to express themselves as children, learn through play and grow through the love of God. Each morning we begin the day with prayer. Students from youngest to oldest gather together with their teachers and administrators to thank God for this day and ask for His guidance to get through it.

This year I was given the opportunity to teach the 5th-8th graders in the areas of Reading and Language Arts and Social Studies/Civics. While they are very different than the preschoolers that I taught last year, they are very much the same in many ways. They come to us each year hungry for knowledge, curious about the world around them and looking for guidance. We have been blessed, as teachers, to provide them with all of these things to the very best of our abilities and I look forward to doing that here at T.H.E.O.S. for many years to come!
